Late into the night on Sunday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a sweeping bill, and once it is signed by President Obama, health care reform will become the law of the land.
While many who were opposed to the use of a procedure called “reconciliation” to bypass a Constitutionally mandated vote, and did not approve of using the bill to wipe out the entire student loan industry (except for one North Dakota bank, which was given an exemption to guarantee an additional vote), and found the backroom wheeling and dealing distasteful in spite of the president’s multiple promises that negotiations would be bipartisan and carried live on C-Span, at least one widely read blogger says there is another major reason for opposition.
Against the health reform bill? Then you are a racist.
Zennie Abraham, who writes for the San Francisco Chronicle, explains in text and video that Republicans and Democrats opposed to “Obama Care” are racist goats with a mental illness.
